Getting There

• Car

  From Ubud center, head north on Jl. Raya Ubud. Continue straight onto Jl. Raya Tampaksiring, which will eventually lead you to Pura Tirta Empul. The temple will be on your left-hand side. There is a parking lot available near the entrance, and parking typically costs around IDR 5,000. Note that you may have to pay an entrance fee for the temple, which is approximately IDR 50,000 per person.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Ubud, you can take a local bus from the Ubud Bus Terminal to Tampaksiring. The bus ride costs about IDR 20,000 and takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Tampaksiring, you will need to walk approximately 1 km to reach Pura Tirta Empul. Follow the main road signs toward the temple, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing Service

  For a more convenient option, consider using a taxi or ride-sharing service like Grab or Gojek. Simply input 'Pura Tirta Empul' in the app, and the fare from central Ubud is usually around IDR 100,000 - IDR 150,000 depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly at the temple entrance.

• Motorbike Rental

  If you're comfortable riding a motorbike, you can rent one in Ubud for about IDR 50,000 - IDR 100,000 per day. Navigate north on Jl. Raya Ubud, continue onto Jl. Raya Tampaksiring, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to Pura Tirta Empul. Be sure to wear a helmet and drive safely, as traffic can be challenging.
