Car
If you're driving from Bandung, head south on the Purbaleunyi Toll Road (TOL Purbaleunyi) towards Tasikmalaya. Take exit 121 towards Tasikmalaya and merge onto Jalan Raya Tasikmalaya. Continue straight for about 30 kilometers until you reach the city center of Tasikmalaya. From there, follow the signs to Situ Gede, which is about 5 kilometers away. The final approach will take you to Jl. Situ Gede, where the attractions are located. Parking is available at the site.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Situ Gede by public transport, start your journey from Bandung by taking a bus from the Leuwi Panjang Bus Terminal to Tasikmalaya. The journey takes about 3-4 hours and costs around IDR 50,000-100,000 depending on the bus class. Once you arrive at Tasikmalaya Bus Terminal, you can take a local minibus or angkot (public minivan) heading to Mangkubumi. Inform the driver to drop you off at Jl. Situ Gede. The attraction is a short walk from there.
Public Transportation (Train)
If you prefer train travel, take the train from Jakarta or Bandung to Tasikmalaya Station. The train ride takes about 3-5 hours and costs between IDR 70,000-150,000, depending on the class. After arriving at Tasikmalaya Station, you can take an angkot or taxi to Situ Gede. It is about a 15-minute drive from the station, and you should expect to pay around IDR 20,000-30,000 for the angkot fare.
