If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Bandung, the capital of West Java. Head south on the Jalan Soekarno-Hatta road, merging onto the Purbaleunyi Toll Road (Toll Road 1) towards Garut. Continue on the toll road for approximately 30 kilometers and take the exit towards Garut. Follow the signs to Garut, which will lead you onto Jalan Raya Garut. Continue driving for about 25 kilometers until you reach the intersection at Cisurupan. Turn left onto Jalan Raya Cisurupan. After about 10 kilometers, you will reach Karamat Wangi. The entrance to Hutan Mati Gunung Papandayan is approximately 5 kilometers further along this road. Look for signs or ask locals for directions as you approach the area.
