If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Garut city. Head southeast on Jalan Raya Garut-Cisurupan for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the village of Cisurupan. Once you arrive in Cisurupan, follow the signs leading to Kawah Papandayan. You'll need to take a left turn onto Jalan Papandayan, which will take you directly to the entrance of Kawah Papandayan. Be aware that the road may be steep and winding, so drive cautiously. There may be parking fees at the entrance, typically around IDR 10,000.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from the Garut bus terminal heading to Cisurupan. The bus fare is approximately IDR 20,000. Once you reach Cisurupan, you can hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Kawah Papandayan. The ojek ride will cost around IDR 30,000 to 50,000, depending on your negotiation skills.
