Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Lembang from Bandung city. Start on Jl. Pasteur and follow the signs for Lembang. You'll want to take the exit onto Jl. Setiabudhi, which leads directly to Lembang. Once in Lembang, continue straight on Jl. Lembang until you reach Jl. Raya Lembang. Turn right on Jl. Raya Lembang, and then take a left onto Jl. Situ Umar. Follow this road until you see signs for Situ Umar Lake. The drive should take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Bandung to Lembang. Buses frequently depart from the Leuwi Panjang bus terminal. Look for buses heading to Lembang, and the ticket price is usually around IDR 15,000. Once you arrive at the Lembang bus terminal, you can take a local angkot (minibus) towards Situ Umar. Board an angkot that says 'Situ' and pay the fare of approximately IDR 5,000. The angkot will drop you off close to the lake area.
Motorbike Taxi
An alternative option is to use a motorbike taxi (ojek) from Lembang. After arriving at the Lembang bus terminal, you can find motorbike taxis available. Negotiate the fare, which should be around IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000 for a ride to Situ Umar. This is a quick and flexible option, especially for solo travelers.
