Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the city of Pontianak, head southeast on Jalan Raya Pontianak - Sintang. Continue for about 350 kilometers until you reach Sintang. Once you arrive in Sintang, navigate towards Kapuas Kiri Hulu. Follow the signs to the museum, which is located at 3FMR+7MF, Kapuas Kiri Hulu, Sintang. Ensure that your vehicle has enough fuel, as gas stations may be sparse along the route.

• Bus

  You can take a bus from Pontianak to Sintang. Buses leave from several terminals in Pontianak, and the journey typically takes around 8-10 hours. The fare is approximately IDR 100,000 to IDR 150,000. Once you arrive at the Sintang bus terminal, you can take a local taxi or motorbike taxi (ojek) to reach the museum. The taxi fare from the terminal to the museum should be around IDR 20,000.

• Taxi

  If you are already in Sintang and need to reach the museum, you can hire a taxi from your current location. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your trip, which should range from IDR 20,000 to IDR 50,000 depending on the distance.

• Motorbike

  For a more adventurous route, you can rent a motorbike in Sintang. This will give you the flexibility to navigate through the local streets. From the city center, head towards Kapuas Kiri Hulu. The museum is roughly 5 km from the center, and the ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Rental costs for motorbikes are typically around IDR 100,000 per day.
