If you're traveling by car from Jayapura, the capital of Papua, head west on the Trans Papua Highway (Route 1). After approximately 4 hours of driving, you will reach the town of Merauke. From Merauke, continue southeast on Route 1 for about 1 hour until you reach the border town of Sota. Once you arrive at Sota, follow the signs to the border crossing into Papua New Guinea. Note that you'll need to present a valid passport and may have to pay a border crossing fee, which can vary. After crossing into Papua New Guinea, continue driving towards Musu. The New Pacific PNG View is located at the coordinates 92R3+X3P in Musu. Be sure to use a map application for precise navigation.

For those using public transportation, begin your journey in Jayapura. Take a bus to Merauke, which is approximately a 4-hour ride. Once in Merauke, look for a bus or shared taxi that heads to Sota. The ride from Merauke to Sota may take around 1 hour. After reaching Sota, you will need to cross the border into Papua New Guinea. Again, ensure you have your passport and be prepared to pay any applicable crossing fees. After crossing the border, you can hire a local taxi or take a bus to Musu.
