If you are starting your journey from Sorong, the closest major city to Raja Ampat, drive to the Sorong harbor. The distance is approximately 2.5 km and should take around 10 minutes. Once at the harbor, park your car in a designated parking area (note that parking may incur a small fee). You will then need to purchase a ticket for a ferry or speedboat to Waisai, the capital of Raja Ampat. The ferry ride takes about 1.5 hours.

After arriving in Waisai, you will need to take a local boat to Piaynemo. You can arrange this through your accommodation or at the harbor. The local boats typically depart in the morning and the ride to Piaynemo takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the sea conditions. Make sure to confirm the schedule ahead of time and be aware that additional costs for the boat ride will be incurred.

If you prefer to use public transportation, from Sorong, take a public minibus (angkot) to the harbor. The fare is usually around IDR 10,000-20,000.
