If you are starting from Malioboro, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Trans Jogja bus route 1A or 1B towards Terminal Giwangan. Get off at the Kotagede bus stop. From there, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to Gembira Loka Zoo. Head southeast on Jl. Pangeran Diponegoro, then turn left onto Jl. Kebun Raya, and continue walking until you reach the zoo entrance.
