Getting There
Bus
From Yogyakarta city center, head to the Giwangan Bus Station. You can take a local taxi or ride-sharing service to get there. Look for a bus heading to Wonosari, which is the capital of Gunung Kidul Regency. Once you board the bus, inform the driver you want to get off at Tlogo. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. After getting off at Tlogo, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer uphill to reach Gunung Nglanggeran.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Yogyakarta. From the city center, follow Jalan Malioboro south until you reach the intersection with Jalan Pahlawan. Continue onto Jalan Wonosari towards Gunung Kidul. After about 20 kilometers, you will reach Tlogo. Follow the signs for Gunung Nglanggeran, which is about 1 kilometer uphill from Tlogo.
Motorbike
Rent a motorbike from a rental shop in Yogyakarta. Navigate from the city center to Jalan Wonosari, which heads south towards Gunung Kidul. After approximately 20 kilometers, keep an eye out for signs to Tlogo. Once you reach Tlogo, follow the road signs for Gunung Nglanggeran, which requires a short uphill ride of about 1 kilometer.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Tlogo, you can walk directly to Gunung Nglanggeran. Start at Tlogo village and follow the main road uphill. It is about a 1-kilometer walk, and it may take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
