Public Transportation
From the city center of Yogyakarta, head to the nearest bus station, such as Jombor Bus Station. You can take a public minibus (known as an 'angkot') to Gunung Kidul. Look for a minibus that has 'Gunung Kidul' written on it. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Gunung Kidul, you will need to take a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) or a shared taxi to Jomblang Cave. Make sure to tell the driver your destination.

If you are already close to Gunung Kidul, consider using an ojek. You can book one through ride-hailing apps like Gojek or Grab. Enter 'Jomblang Cave' as your destination. The ride will take about 30 minutes from the nearest town in Gunung Kidul.
Walking
If you're staying nearby, you can walk to Jomblang Cave. From the nearest bus stop in Pacarejo, head south on the main road. Follow the signs towards Jomblang Cave. It’s about a 1.5 km walk, which should take approximately 20-25 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven.
