Public Bus
From the city center of Yogyakarta, take the Trans Jogja bus number 1A or 1B towards the airport. Get off at the 'Adisutjipto Airport' stop. From there, you can catch a local minibus (angkot) towards Kulon Progo. Ask the driver to drop you off at Jangkaran. Once you reach Jangkaran, Mangrove Jembatan Api-Api (MJAA) is a short walk from the main road.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in the city. Head west along Jalan Malioboro, then take Jalan Jendral Sudirman to connect to Jalan Wates. Continue cycling until you reach the junction for Jangkaran. Follow the signs leading to the mangrove area.
