Bus
From the central part of Ames, head to the Ames Transit Agency bus stop at 5th & Main St. Catch the Route 7 bus towards Des Moines. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 3rd & Walnut St in Des Moines. Once you disembark, walk west along Walnut St for about three blocks, then turn left onto 4th St. Continue walking until you reach West River Dr. Turn right, and Rotary Riverwalk Park will be on your left at 821 W River Dr.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Ames. Start on the bike path heading south towards Des Moines. Follow the path that runs parallel to Highway 69, then take the bike lane on 2nd Ave towards Des Moines. Continue straight until you reach the downtown area. Follow signs for the riverfront park, which will lead you to West River Dr. Once there, you will find Rotary Riverwalk Park at 821 W River Dr.

If you're up for a walk, start at the Iowa State University campus. Head south towards Lincoln Way, then turn left onto 6th St. Follow 6th St south until you reach Main St, then turn right. Walk down Main St until you reach 3rd St, where you will turn left. Continue down 3rd St and take a right onto Walnut St. Walk until you reach West River Dr, then turn left. Rotary Riverwalk Park will be located on your left at 821 W River Dr.
