Getting There

  • Car

    To reach Gaffney Wildlife Area from any location within Backbone State Park by car, exit the park and head south on Backbone Road. Continue for approximately 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Highway 13. Turn right onto Highway 13 and follow it for about 6 miles until you reach the town of Manchester. As you enter Manchester, look for Firefly Road on your left. Turn left onto Firefly Road and continue for about 1 mile. Gaffney Wildlife Area will be on your right at 1856 Firefly Rd, Manchester, IA 52057.
