Getting There

Walking
Start at the Burlington City Hall located at 400 Washington St. Walk east on Washington St until you reach the intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main St and continue walking until you reach the corner of Main St and Front St. Here, you can catch the local bus (Burlington Transit) at the bus stop. Take bus number 3 towards South Hero. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the South Hero stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Island Line Trail. Head east on Lakeview Dr, then turn left onto Island Line Trail and follow the path until you reach the Lake Champlain Causeway.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Burlington. Start at the Burlington Bike Path located near Oakledge Park. Head north along the bike path, which runs parallel to the waterfront. Continue biking for about 8 miles until you reach South Hero. Once you arrive in South Hero, follow signs for the Island Line Trail. The trail will lead you directly to the Lake Champlain Causeway, where you can enjoy the stunning views.
