Walking
If you are starting from downtown Dubuque, head west on W 1st St toward Main St. Continue to follow W 1st St for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto S Locust St and walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach E 18th St. Turn right onto E 18th St and continue for another 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Volunteer Dr. Turn left onto Volunteer Dr and walk for about 1 mile. The US Lock and Dam No. 11 will be on your left at 3094 Volunteer Dr #3052.
Public Transit
From the Dubuque Intermodal Transportation Center, take the DART bus Route 2 (West Route) towards the West End. Ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at Volunteer Dr. After getting off, walk east on Volunteer Dr for about 0.5 miles. US Lock and Dam No. 11 will be on your right at 3094 Volunteer Dr #3052.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from the downtown area and head west on W 1st St. After about 0.5 miles, take a left on S Locust St. Continue biking on S Locust St for about 0.3 miles, then turn right onto E 18th St. Ride for another 0.3 miles and take a left onto Volunteer Dr. Continue on Volunteer Dr for about 1 mile, and you will find US Lock and Dam No. 11 on your left at 3094 Volunteer Dr #3052.
