    If you are traveling by car from any point in Dutch Heritage Area, start by heading south on the main road. Follow local road signs directing you toward Madrid, IA. Once you are on Highway 17, continue to follow it north. As you approach Madrid, turn right onto P Ave. Ledges State Park will be on your left at 1515 P Ave, Madrid, IA 50156. There is no entry fee to access the park, but be sure to check for any activity permits if you plan on fishing or camping.

    For those using public transportation, check local bus services that connect to smaller towns around the Dutch Heritage Area. You may need to take a bus to Madrid. Once in Madrid, you can either walk the remaining distance (approximately 3 miles) to Ledges State Park or arrange for a rideshare service.
