Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Iowa City Public Library, located at 123 South Linn Street. Head south on Linn Street until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue walking until you reach South Dubuque Street. Turn right onto South Dubuque Street. Walk straight for about 0.5 miles, and you will come to the Iowa River Corridor Trail. Follow the trail heading west along the riverbank for approximately 1 mile. The World's Largest Wooden Nickel will be on your left at 3246-3248 Iowa River Corridor Trail.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Iowa City. Start at the Pedestrian Mall, and bike toward the Iowa River Corridor Trail entrance at the corner of South Clinton Street and East Burlington Street. Once you are on the trail, follow it west along the river for about 1 mile. Look for the World's Largest Wooden Nickel on your left at 3246-3248 Iowa River Corridor Trail. The bike ride should take around 10-15 minutes.

• Public Transit

  Take the Iowa City Transit bus route 6, which heads toward the River Landing area. Board the bus at any convenient stop along the route. Get off at the 'Iowa River Landing' stop. From there, walk along the Iowa River Corridor Trail heading east for about 0.5 miles. The World's Largest Wooden Nickel will be located at 3246-3248 Iowa River Corridor Trail on your right.
