If you're driving from the center of Iowa Great Lakes, head southwest on Highway 71 toward Spirit Lake. Continue on Highway 71 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with US-20. Merge onto US-20 West and continue for about 18 miles. Take exit 49 for IA-4 South toward Lake City. Continue on IA-4 South for about 5 miles until you reach the signs for Viking Lake State Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance.
