If you are starting from the Council Bluffs Public Library, head south on 16th Street toward Pierce Street. Turn left onto Pierce Street and continue until you reach 24th Avenue. Turn right onto 24th Avenue and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Aspen Road. Turn left onto Aspen Road. After walking approximately 1 mile, you will find the Town of Dumfries Historical Marker located at 23533 Aspen Rd. It's a historical landmark, so keep an eye out for it on your right.

From the Council Bluffs Transit Center, take bus route 5 towards South Omaha. Get off at the stop at 24th Avenue and Aspen Road. From there, walk north on Aspen Road. The Town of Dumfries Historical Marker is located at 23533 Aspen Rd, just a short walk away. Follow the road for a few minutes, and you will see the historical marker on your left.
