From the center of Newton, head southeast on East 2nd Street towards South 2nd Avenue. Continue straight until you reach East 1st Street. Turn left onto East 1st Street and follow it until you come to South 12th Avenue. Turn right onto South 12th Avenue. When you reach East 5th Street, turn left. Continue straight until you reach South 15th Avenue, where you will turn right. Follow South 15th Avenue until you reach East 18th Street, and turn left. Continue on East 18th Street until you reach the Newton City Park, where you'll find walking paths that will take you through the park. Exit the park onto East 19th Street, and continue to the intersection with South 18th Avenue. At this point, you should head southeast towards the intersection of South 20th Avenue and East 20th Street. Continue straight to reach the Newton train station. From there, take a train towards Salem. Once you arrive in Salem, head towards Congress Street, and follow the signs to Pickering Wharf Marina located at 23 Congress St.
Public Transport
Start at the nearest bus station in Newton. Take Bus Route 20 towards Des Moines. Ride for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the Des Moines Intermodal Station. From there, transfer to the Jefferson Lines bus service towards Salem, MA. This journey will take around 2 hours. Once you arrive in Salem, exit the bus and walk towards Congress Street. Follow Congress Street for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Pickering Wharf Marina located at 23 Congress St, Salem, MA 01970.
Biking
Rent a bike from a local rental shop in Newton. Start your bike ride heading south on South 1st Avenue. After 2 blocks, turn left onto East 2nd Street. Continue biking straight until you reach South 5th Avenue. Turn right and continue until you reach East 9th Street. Make a left onto East 9th Street, and bike down until you reach South 15th Avenue. Turn right and continue biking to East 18th Street. Make a left and follow the road until you reach the Newton train station. From the train station, take a train to Salem. Once you arrive in Salem, bike towards Congress Street, and follow the signs until you reach Pickering Wharf Marina at 23 Congress St.
