From downtown Ottumwa, head east on Main Street toward the Des Moines River. Cross the Market Street Bridge and continue onto River Street. The SkatePark will be on your right, adjacent to the riverfront.

The smooth concrete surface ensures a consistent ride, while benches and picnic tables provide comfortable spots for spectators. The park is open to the public and free to use, attracting visitors from across Iowa and neighboring states.The Ottumwa Skate Park located on Market Street in downtown Ottumwa is about 20 years old featuring several competitive ramps. A new skate park is planned to be constructed next to the JBS Sports Plex, with an anticipated completion date of November 2025. The new park will span approximately 10,000 square feet and will be made entirely of concrete, offering a durable and smooth surface for skating. It will also be fully lighted, allowing for extended hours of use in the evening.
