  • Walking

    Start at the Urbandale City Hall located at 3600 86th St, Urbandale, IA. Head east on 86th St towards Douglas Ave. Once you reach Douglas Ave, turn left and walk north until you reach the intersection with 70th St. Cross Douglas Ave and continue walking north on 70th St until you reach the bus stop at 70th St and Hickman Rd. Take Bus Route 60 towards Downtown Des Moines, which will take you directly to the East Village area.

  • Public Transit

    After arriving at the bus stop, board the Bus Route 60. Stay on the bus for approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop near 7th St and Locust St. Walk east on Locust St for about 5 minutes until you reach the State Historical Building located at 600 E Locust St, Des Moines, IA 50319.

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Urbandale.
