Getting There

  • Driving

    From Harpers Ferry, head west on County Road X42, also known as State Forest Road or B25, for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto State Forest Road/B25 and continue until you reach Yellow River State Forest. Follow the signs to Big Paint Campground within the Paint Creek Unit. Note that State Forest Road is the only paved road in the park, and other roads may be gravel with steep inclines. There are no fees for accessing the forest or campground, but camping fees apply.
