Madigan Winery, a hidden gem in the heart of Northeast Iowa's Driftless Area, invites visitors to experience handcrafted wines in a tranquil, picturesque setting. Located near Lansing, the winery is family-owned and operated, with a focus on producing small-batch wines that capture the unique flavors of the region.The tasting room is located inside a granary, where the oldest signature dates back to 1895. Brian Madigan purchased the 16-acre property in 2002 and planted the first Marechal Foch vines in 2003. Over the years, he expanded the vineyard with La Crosse, Marquette, and Petite Pearl vines. The winery officially opened in 2016, offering a selection of wines crafted with passion and expertise. Madigan Winery has won awards, including Double Gold for their Blanc Celeste at the 2016 Iowa State Fair.Visitors can enjoy wine tastings in the cozy tasting room or relax on the outdoor seating area, which offers views of the vineyard and surrounding countryside. The winery provides a canopy for sun and rain protection, ensuring a comfortable experience regardless of the weather. Madigan Winery also hosts special events and live music, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
