Taxi
From Choman, taxis are readily available. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey to the base of Halgurd Mountain. A typical one-way trip should cost approximately 10,000 IQD. The ride takes about 30 minutes, covering roughly 25 kilometers. Be prepared for unpaved road sections closer to the mountain's base.
Public Transport
From Erbil, take a minibus to Choman. From the main bus station in Choman, take a minibus heading towards Erbil and inform the driver you want to get off at the turn-off for Halgurd Mountain; the fare is about 1,000 IQD. From the turn-off, hire a local taxi to take you to the base of the mountain for around 10,000 IQD.
