Car/Taxi
The most common way to reach Korek Mountain Resort is by car or taxi. From Erbil International Airport, the journey is approximately 100 km and takes about 1 hour and 19 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the airport; negotiate the fare before departing. Car rentals are also available. Expect to pay around $4-$7 for the gas. There is free parking at the resort.

Cable Car
Once you arrive at the base of Mount Korek in Bekhal, the final ascent to the resort is via the Korek Mountain Cable Car (Teleferic). The cable car ride is approximately 4 km long and offers panoramic views. The Teleferic operation hours are between 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, but these hours can change depending on weather conditions, so it's best to verify with the resort. Guests arriving after 8:00 pm may be charged USD 50 per cabin for emergency operation.
