Haji Abdullah is situated in Said Sadiq, a city within the Sulaymaniyah Governorate of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Said Sadiq is located approximately 47 kilometers southeast of the city of Sulaymaniyah. The area has been inhabited since the Late Halaf period, as evidenced by the nearby archaeological site of Tell Begum.Said Sadiq has a population of over 100,000 people and is known as a cosmopolitan city. The city's name has a few origin stories; one suggests it was named after a man named Sidsadeg, who built the city, while another attributes the name to Mount Sincere in Iraqi Kurdistan. The city has faced hardship, including the destruction of over 23,000 houses and the death of 6,000 people by Saddam Hussein's army in 1988. Despite these challenges, Said Sadiq has rebuilt and continues to be a vibrant city in the Kurdistan Region.
