Turn left onto 60 Street and drive for about 5 kilometers. You'll see signs for Taqtaq; follow them as you merge onto the main road leading to Taqtaq. This route takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. As you approach Taqtaq, look for the coordinates VMFW+QF on your maps application. The site is a short drive from the main road.

If you're using public transportation, head to the main bus station in Hawler. Look for buses or shared taxis heading to Taqtaq; they are usually marked with the destination. The fare is typically around 1,000 IQD ($0.70). The journey may take about 1 hour, depending on stops and traffic. Once you arrive in Taqtaq, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the Idu site, which is a few kilometers away. Make sure to have cash on hand for the taxi fare.
