Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center of Kirkuk, start at the main square (Saray Square). From there, head east on Al-Tahrir Street for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Al-Bahri Street. Turn left onto Al-Bahri Street and continue for about 500 meters. You will see the Kirkuk Citadel rising above the surrounding buildings. Follow the signs leading to the citadel entrance.

    If you are near the Kirkuk Museum, exit the museum and head northwest on Al-Haqqiqa Street. Walk straight for approximately 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Al-Bahri Street. Turn right onto Al-Bahri Street and continue straight for another 400 meters. The citadel will be visible ahead, and you can follow the signs to the entrance.

    From the Kirkuk Train Station, exit and turn left onto Al-Quds Street. Walk straight for about 1.2 kilometers. You will come to a roundabout; take the second exit onto Al-Nasr Street.
