Getting There

Car/Taxi

The most common way to reach Korek Mountain Resort is by car or taxi. From Erbil International Airport, the journey is approximately 100 kilometers and takes about 1 hour and 19 minutes. The drive costs approximately $4 - $7. Taxis are readily available at the airport; negotiate the fare before departure.
Teleferic

Upon arrival at the base of Korek Mountain, the final ascent to the resort is via the 4 km long teleferic (cable car). The base is located in Bekhal. A ride takes about 12 minutes. Check operation hours. Guests arriving after 20:00 may be charged USD 50 per cabin for emergency operation.
