Car
If driving from Erbil, head southeast on 40th Street and take the exit onto the Erbil-Sulaymaniyah Highway (M1). Continue for approximately 45 km until the turn-off for Mount Korek, following signs for 'Korek Mountain Resort'. After turning off the highway, follow the local roads for another 15 km to reach the resort. The drive from Erbil takes approximately 1 hour and 19 minutes. Parking is available at the resort.
Public Transport
To reach Korek Mountain Resort via public transport, take a bus or shared taxi from Erbil to Soran. From Soran, you can find taxis to take you to the resort. The bus fare from Erbil to Soran typically costs around 5,000 to 10,000 IQD. A taxi from Soran to the resort may cost an additional 10,000 to 15,000 IQD.
Teleferic
The Korek Mountain Resort is accessible via a 4 km long cable car (Teleferic) from Bekhal. The Teleferic operates between 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM, but it is advised to confirm the hours of operation with the Resort as they may change due to weather conditions. Guests arriving after 8:00 PM may be charged USD 50 per cabin for emergency operation.
