Ferry
The primary way to reach Inisheer is by ferry. Ferries operate year-round from Rossaveal, Co. Galway (approximately a 55-minute journey) and seasonally (April to October) from Doolin, Co. Clare (approximately a 15-30 minute journey). From the Inisheer pier, South Aran House is located approximately 400 meters to the right. Ferry Costs (Doolin to Inisheer, round trip): Adult: €32; Child (5+): €16; Family (2 adults, 2 children): €85. Ferry costs from Galway City Centre to Inisheer are around €96. Note: It's advisable to book ferry tickets in advance, especially during peak season, as seats are limited.

Walking
From the Inisheer ferry pier, South Aran House is a short, approximately 5-minute walk. Upon disembarking, turn right and follow the coastal road. The house is situated on the western side of the island, near the sea, offering beautiful sunset views. The walk is relatively flat and easy, with well-maintained paths.
