Walking
From the ferry terminal in Kilronan, Dún Eochla is approximately a 2.8 km walk. Follow the road west from Kilronan, keeping an eye out for signposts directing you towards Dún Eochla. The walk will take you through the island's interior, offering scenic views of the landscape. The path to Dún Eochla is approached via a grassy path eastwards from An Teach Solais, a disused lighthouse. Be prepared for uneven terrain.
Bicycle
Bicycles are available for rent in Kilronan. Follow the road west from Kilronan, and look for the signposts to Dún Eochla. Cycle as far as you can and lock your bike, then walk the rest of the way to the fort. The cost to rent a bike is approximately €15 per day.
