The only way to reach Garnish Island and the Martello Tower is by ferry from Glengarriff. Several ferry services operate from Glengarriff Pier and the Blue Pool Amenity Area. There is also a separate admission fee for Garnish Island of €5 for adults. It is advisable to have cash for both the ferry and island admission.
