Ferry
The only way to reach Garnish Island and the Martello Tower is by ferry from Glengarriff. Several ferry services operate from Glengarriff Pier and the Blue Pool Amenity Area. The ferry trip takes approximately 15 minutes, offering views of the harbor and a seal colony. Typical round-trip ferry costs range from €12-€15 per adult. There is also a separate admission fee for Garnish Island of €5 for adults. It is advisable to have cash for both the ferry and island admission. Walking
Once you arrive at Garnish Island, the Martello Tower is a short walk from the ferry landing. Follow the paths leading towards the highest point of the island. The walk is scenic, offering views of the gardens and Bantry Bay. Allow approximately 10-15 minutes to reach the tower from the ferry dock.
