Car
To reach the Mare's Tail Waterfall by car, head towards Castletownbere. From there, take the R572 road towards Eyeries. Continue for approximately 10 km until the junction with the R571. Turn left onto the R571 and follow it for about 3 km. You'll find a small parking area near Cappanaparka West, the closest point to the waterfall. From the parking area, a short walking trail leads to the falls. Parking is free. Be aware that the roads can be narrow and winding.
Walking
If you are in Cappanaparka West, you can walk to the Mare's Tail Waterfall. Park at the small parking area near Cappanaparka West. Follow the marked trail through the scenic landscape. The walk is approximately 1 km and takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Wear good walking shoes as the trail can be uneven. There are no costs associated with walking to the waterfall.
