The Athenry Heritage Centre is located in the heart of Athenry town, easily accessible on foot from most points within the town center. From the Athenry Train Station, it's approximately a 10-minute walk. Exit the station and head towards the town square. The Heritage Centre is situated on the left-hand corner of the square, adjacent to St. Mary's Collegiate Church. No costs are involved.

Athenry is well-connected by bus and train. Buslink operates services from Galway City to the Arch Car Park in Athenry, which is a 5-minute walk to the centre. Irish Rail provides regular train services from Dublin, Galway, and Limerick to Athenry. From the train station, follow the walking directions above. Athenry is accessible from the M6 motorway. Take Junction 17 and follow the R347 to the town center. From the M17, follow signs to Athenry. The Heritage Centre is located in the town square. Free parking is available outside Athenry Castle. Pay & Display spaces are available throughout the town. Long-term car parks are located next to the North Gate and on Swan Gate Road, costing €3.00 per day.
