Driving
If driving from Letterkenny, take the N13 towards Derry until the junction for the N56. Follow the N56 towards Killybegs, and after Killybegs, continue on the N56 for approximately 10 km. Turn left onto the R263 towards Dunkineely, and after about 5 km, turn right onto the R241 towards Keadue Lower. Follow signs for Cruit Island. Upon reaching the bridge to Cruit Island, continue straight until you see signs for Cruit Island Wild Beach. Ample parking is available near the beach access point. There are no tolls on this route. Parking is free.

To reach Cruit Island Wild Beach via public transport, take a bus from Letterkenny to Killybegs. Bus Éireann and other local services operate this route. From Killybegs, take a taxi to Keadue Lower, as public transport options to Cruit Island are limited. Book the taxi in advance. Once in Keadue Lower, follow signs to Cruit Island and walk to the beach, approximately 1 km from the main road. Bus fare from Letterkenny to Killybegs is approximately €15-€25. A taxi from Killybegs to Keadue Lower will cost approximately €20-€30.
