Donegal Castle is located on Castle Street, just off The Diamond, Donegal Town's central square. From The Diamond, walk southeast on Main Street, then turn right onto Castle Street. The castle will be on your left. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes.

From the Donegal Town bus station, walk southeast on Main Street, then turn right onto Castle Street. The castle will be on your left. The walk from the bus station is approximately 2 minutes. If driving, follow signs for Donegal Town. From the N15, take the exit for Donegal Town (R267). Once in town, follow signs for 'Castle' or 'Donegal Castle'. Parking is available in several car parks around Donegal Town. The main parking lot is located by the River Eske, near the Donegal Town Tourist Information Centre. Other parking lots are located near Aldi. Parking fees apply in most town center locations. Expect to pay around €0.30 per hour, or €2.70 for 24 hours.
