Donegal Castle is located on Castle Street, just off The Diamond, Donegal Town's central square. From The Diamond, walk southeast on Main Street, then turn right onto Castle Street. The castle will be on your left. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes.

From the Donegal Town bus station, walk southeast on Main Street, then turn right onto Castle Street. The castle will be on your left. The walk from the bus station is approximately 2 minutes.
