Public Transport

To reach Killiney Hill Viewpoint via public transport from Dublin city center, take the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) train to Dalkey Station. The journey takes approximately 24 minutes, with trains running every 15 minutes, costing between €2 - €4. From Dalkey Station, walk south on Castle Street, then turn left onto Victoria Road. Continue uphill for about 15-20 minutes until you reach Mount Mapas House, near the viewpoint. Be prepared for a steep climb.

From Dalkey DART Station, exit the station and walk down Castle Street. Continue straight until the junction with Victoria Road. Turn left onto Victoria Road and continue walking uphill. The viewpoint is around a 15-20 minute walk from the station. The path can be steep, so wear comfortable shoes.
Car

If driving from Dublin city center, take the N11 road southbound. Continue on the N11 until the junction for the R118 exit towards Dalkey. Follow the R118, which becomes Castle Street, and then turn left onto Victoria Road. Continue on Victoria Road until you reach Mount Mapas House; the designated parking area is nearby. Parking is free at the Killiney Hill Car Park. Parking may be limited, especially on weekends, so arriving early is advisable.
