From the center of Kildare town, head southwest on the N7 towards Dublin. Continue on the N7 for about 30 km until you reach the junction for the R113. Take the exit towards R113, and follow the signs for Dun Laoghaire/Sandycove. Continue on the R113, which will lead you directly into Sandycove. Look for signs to the beach area, and you should encounter Sandycove within 10 minutes.

From Kildare town, take the train from Kildare Train Station to Pearse Station in Dublin. This train runs regularly and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once at Pearse Station, transfer to the DART service (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) towards Bray. Alight at the Sandycove station, which is about a 25-minute ride. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to Sandycove Beach, which is a short 5-minute walk.
