Rathmines Library is located on Rathmines Road Lower, easily accessible on foot from anywhere in Rathmines. From the Stella Theatre, walk approximately 5 minutes north on Rathmines Road Lower. The library will be on your left. From Rathmines Town Hall, cross the street and walk a few steps south; the library is adjacent to the Town Hall.

Rathmines Library is well-served by Dublin Bus. Several bus routes stop near the library, including the 14, 15, 15A, 65B and 83. From Dublin City Centre, take any of these buses towards Rathmines. Alight at the 'Rathmines' stop, which is directly outside the library. A single fare on Dublin Bus is approximately €3. Alternatively, the Charlemont Luas stop is a 15 minute walk from the Library. A tram from Dublin City Centre to Charlemont costs €1-2.
