Bus
From Drogheda town center, head to the Drogheda Bus Station located at 1-2 Fair Street. Take the Bus Eireann Route 100 towards Dublin. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Busaras (Dublin Bus Station), you will need to walk to the nearest bus stop for the Luas tram or a local bus that heads towards Dublin Castle.

Train
Make your way to Drogheda Train Station, situated at 1 Station Road. Board a train heading to Dublin Connolly Station. The journey lasts about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, exit the station and walk towards the Luas tram stop at Abbey Street. From there, take the Red Line tram towards Tallaght and get off at the Jervis stop. Walk south on Henry Street and turn left onto Castle Street to reach Dublin Castle.

If you are already in the heart of Drogheda, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Dublin Castle. Head southeast on West Street towards the River Boyne. Cross the river using the Boyne Bridge and continue straight onto the N51. Follow the N51 until you reach the bus station in Dublin. From there, find your way to Dublin Castle as previously described, or simply ask locals for directions as it's a well-known landmark.
