    If driving from Galway City, take the N6 towards Limerick. After approximately 20 km, take the exit for the N18 towards Ennis. Continue on the N18 for about 25 km and then take the exit for the N67 towards Kilcolgan/Ardrahan. After about 5 km, turn left onto the R347. Follow the R347 until you reach Rathbane. Rathbaun Farm will be on your left. Free parking is available on site.

Rathbaun Farm offers visitors a glimpse into the heart of rural Ireland. Situated in Ardrahan, County Galway, the Burke and Connolly family has farmed this 80-acre land for over 200 years. Today, Fintan Connolly continues the tradition, welcoming guests to experience the workings of a sheep farm. Visitors are enchanted by the farm's picturesque setting, complete with a thatched cottage, turf fire, and stone walls. The farm is home to various animals, including sheep, cows, horses, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs and cats. Guests can participate in feeding the lambs (between March and November), watch sheep-shearing demonstrations, and observe Fintan's skilled border collie, rounding up the sheep. After the farm tour, visitors are invited into the 250-year-old cottage for a taste of Irish hospitality. Frances Connolly and her team serve freshly baked scones with homemade jam and cream, along with tea or coffee. It's a chance to relax by the turf fire, chat with the family, and learn about the history and heritage of Irish farming. Visits are by appointment only.
