Great tour guide with a perfect mix of stops

Jarleth, our guide, was wonderful. It was like driving with an old family friend who’d been living in Western Ireland his entire life. You never quite know what you’ll get with a private tour guide and we were not disappointed. He drove us from spot to spot sharing not only historical information, but personalizing it by showing us things about his own life. The Abbey was beautiful (albeit the midges had arrived!!). We hiked a short loop around Connemara which had extraordinary views into the valley and beyond. Lunch in Clifden was perfect and we were so hungry by then… and the we were off to Sky road which was magical. We finished up with a stop at our last castle and on time, exhausted but having had another wonderful day seeing sights and learning all about Ireland’s incredible history. Highly recommend.

Neal Doherty spent two full days with the two of us driving us north and south of Galway (so both the Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher tours) It was just wonderful. He was fun and interesting and it was just A+. I have a list of the really great folks we have been able to travel with over the past few years and he is on it. The next time we go to Ireland, I will plan to book him well in advance. He seems to cover all or at least most of Ireland. What more can I say? He was great.
