From Galway City, take a Bus Éireann route to Clifden. From Clifden, you can take a local taxi or Bus Éireann service to Cleggan village. From Cleggan village, the cliffs are approximately a 30-minute walk. Check local bus schedules for the most current information. Bus fare from Galway to Clifden is approximately €15-€20. A local taxi from Clifden to Cleggan may cost around €15-€20.

Car

From Galway, head west on the N59 towards Clifden. Continue on the R341 towards Cleggan. Once in Cleggan, follow the road towards the coast. Parking is limited near the cliffs, with some informal parking spots available. Be prepared for a short walk from your parking spot to the cliffs. Parking is free. However, during peak season, it can be challenging to find a spot.

Walking

If you are already in Cleggan village, you can walk to Cleggan Cliffs in approximately 30 minutes. Head towards the coast, following the scenic paths. The walk offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Be prepared for some uneven terrain. No costs involved.
