Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start from Galway city center and head east on the N6. Continue on the N6 for about 5 km, then take the exit toward Oranmore (signposted). Merge onto the R336 and follow the signs for Oranmore. As you enter Oranmore, take a left onto Castle Road. Oranmore Castle will be on your left. There is free parking available on the street.

Bus

For those using public transport, take Bus Éireann route 404 from Galway city center to Oranmore. The buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Oranmore, disembark at the main bus stop, then walk towards Castle Road. It’s a short 10-minute walk straight ahead, where you will find Oranmore Castle on your left.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Galway city to Oranmore Castle. The taxi ride will take approximately 15 minutes and should cost around €15-€20, depending on traffic. Just provide the driver with the address: Oranmore Castle, Castle Rd, Oran More, Oranmore, Co. Galway.
