Killarney Racecourse is located approximately a 10-minute walk from Killarney town center. From the town center, head southwest on Main Street/N71 towards Mission Road. Continue onto Ross Road, and the racecourse will be on your left. This is a straightforward and scenic walk.

Public Transport

A free shuttle bus service operates from The Avenue Hotel in Killarney town center directly to the racecourse. The first bus departs 90 minutes before the first race, and the last bus leaves the racecourse 30 minutes after the last race. Check the Killarney Races website for the most up-to-date schedule. Alternatively, the Killarney Bus and Train Station is located approximately a 1/2 mile from the racecourse. From the station, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the racecourse.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available throughout Killarney town center. Taxi ranks are located in several spots around the town, and most hotels and guesthouses will happily call a taxi for you. A taxi from the town center to Killarney Racecourse will typically cost between €8 and €12, depending on traffic and the specific location within the town. Typical taxi fare: €4.10 (starting price) + €1.10 per km. A 5km ride would cost approximately €9.60.

Driving

If driving, Killarney Racecourse is located just off the Killarney/Kenmare road. From Killarney town center, follow the N71 towards Kenmare. The racecourse will be well signposted. Free parking is available inside the track and in car parks adjacent to the racecourse. However, parking can be limited during peak times, so arrive early. There are no tolls on the direct route from Killarney town center to the racecourse.
