From Killarney, take the N71 road heading west. After about 15 kilometers, merge onto the N70 road towards Kenmare. Continue on the N70 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Scartnamackagh. The River Caragh Viewing Point will be on your left-hand side, easily identifiable with a small parking area. There are no tolls on this route.

From Killarney, take a Bus Éireann service towards Kenmare. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Scartnamackagh. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk along the N70 road heading northeast to reach the River Caragh Viewing Point. Be cautious as you walk along the roadside.
