The bridge is a short walk from the cottage, approximately 2 km (1.2 miles), making it a 40-minute round trip. Parking is free at Kate Kearney's Cottage. Be aware that the road is also used by jaunting cars (horse-drawn carriages), cyclists, and other walkers.

If arriving from Killarney, a taxi to Kate Kearney's Cottage is a convenient option. The taxi ride is approximately 15 km (9.3 miles) and takes about 20 minutes.
